About Me
If You Pronounce My Last Name Correctly, I’ll Give You a Prize!
Hi there! My name is Roberto Severino, and I am a Digital Marketing Strategist, working across a variety of verticals and industries over the last several years. I had a humble start when I first reached out to businesses, offering my knowledge and expertise in topics like SEO, SEM, PPC, social media marketing, and content marketing. Given my persistence and willingness to see things through, I was able to repeatedly accomplish the impossible and never say “no” when finding the answers to problems. This attitude was what allowed me to gain traction on websites such as LinkedIn and Quora, regularly publishing my insights and thoughts. I’ve worked at startups, remote digital marketing agencies, mid-sized firms, and other companies in the past. During my downtime, I’m relentlessly figuring out ways to offer my more value for my followers and clients!
Now enough chit chat! So many people who meet me for the first time absolutely have NO idea how to say my last name. I’ve gotten some really funny responses over the years. Sever-eye-no, Serve-eeno, and my favorite, Sah-vino. Now don’t worry if you’re one of those people. It’s all good. The correct pronounciation is Sever-eeno, and if you got that right the first time, you’ve already won me over! If not, that’s also cool. As long as you’re a kind, considerate, passionate person just like me, we’ll get along just fine and no harsh feelings. And everyone wins….drumroll please, the opportunity to speak with one of the nicest, friendliest, most passionate digital marketers you can ever find. Give yourself a pat on the back and thanks for playing!

Multi-Disciplined. Obsessed. Committed. Results-Driven Professional.
What sets me apart from so many others in this industry is my background and how I came to love and enjoy these fields so much. Adversity was something that I had to deal with for most of my life. It was never easy overcoming many of the challenges that I faced, especially with no one there to guide me at the beginning. Whether it was building my LinkedIn profile from scratch or figuring out how to develop passive income from websites like Quora, I never gave up despite making plenty of mistakes as I went along.
Cartooning and animation was always my first love. Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of taking my talent and making a difference in the world, using digital marketing as a means to be able to do so many of the things I love and to one day, help other artists by teaching them how to do digital marketing too. When I was 12, I received professional drawing advice from some of the best animators in the business. By the age of 15, I had already been told to “keep doing what you’re doing” by fellow artist Vincent Waller, one of the current creative directors and showrunners of the iconic series SpongeBob SquarePants. No joke. I even once received a storyboard test from Nickelodeon a few years ago, but I’ll save that story for another day.
Stacks of Bristol Boards and Sketchbooks. I Went All Out!
By then, my closet and drawers already had stacks upon stacks of Bristol boards and Moleskine sketchbooks of the hundreds of nearly accurate drawings I did of Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Woody Woodpecker, Donald Duck, and so many other classic favorites! I studied from every major classic Hollywood animation studio you can think of at the time including Disney, UPA, Warner Bros, MGM, Terrytoons, Hanna-Barbera, and many others, adding in influence from funny animal and comic book artists like Harvey Kurtzman, Milt Gross, Charles Schulz, Robert Crumb, E.C. Segar, Don Martin, and so many others I can name from top of my head.

Obsession Turned Into Care & Love for the Craft
I guess you could say that I was obsessed, and honestly, still obsessed with going the extra mile and putting 100% effort into everything I do. Attitude, determination, and passion are the three main factors that I value most in my life. I see mistakes as learning opportunities, not things that I end up regretting. I’m a human being too, and it excites me that there’s always going to be something that I want to learn and master.
So how did a guy obsessed with animation, technology, macroeconomics, investing, and finance suddenly find himself doing marketing and eventually working on WordPress sites? One day, I realized that a lot of people were finding value in what I could do for them. I stumbled onto some freelancing websites and took it from there, volunteering on the side. Since I’m the kind of guy who doesn’t like to be boxed into categories, I branched out into other areas as I kept experimenting and learning about myself.
Where I Am Now?
I started out doing SEO and PPC at the same time, determined to develop the highest level understanding of both as I could. Then, I discovered that I also had a knack for marketing myself on social media, especially on LinkedIn and Quora, so I began regularly publishing content there about digital marketing, personal development, career development, and more.
And it all kept growing from there. Who knows how the next chapter in my life will turn out. All I know is that I’m ready and willing for any opportunities that come their way. My experiences in digital marketing in the last several years have given me so much confidence, drive, and determination to get to where I want to be. I hope that the people I work with in the future also share these ideals!
